“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to be of one mind with one another, in keeping with Christ Jesus, so that together, with one voice, you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 15:5-6
Lumin’s Faithful Translation
The setting
Paul wrote to a church of Jewish and Gentile believers learning to share one life in Christ. Endurance and encouragement were not private moods; they were gifts meant to form a common mind. Their unity was meant to spill into praise, showing the kingdom in ordinary relationships.
Reflection
Where is your thinking still set on winning agreement rather than on a shared mind that honors God?
A prayer
God of steady patience, give me a mind shaped by Jesus toward the people nearest me. Help me speak and serve in a way that honors you, not my preference.
Carry it with you
Today, choose one person whose habits of faith differ from yours and do one concrete thing that strengthens them—send a specific word of thanks, take on a task they usually carry, or ask what help they actually need. Let that act be your worship, not a debate.
