Paul is reminding the Thessalonian church how he and his companions lived among them. They did not treat the message as a product to deliver and leave; they worked alongside the people and opened their daily lives. In that culture, a traveling teacher might take payment and move on — Paul chose closeness instead.

Who has become precious enough to you that you would share not only words, but a real piece of your time and strength?
A prayer
God, loosen my grip on my schedule. Show me whose life I can enter today with honesty and care, and give me courage to stay present instead of rushing past.

Today, pick one person you already know and offer something concrete of yourself: a skill, a meal, an hour of undivided attention, or help with a task they cannot finish alone. Let the help cost you a little time, not just a kind sentence.
