“But you, be strong, and do not let your hands grow feeble, for there is reward for your deeds.”
2 Chronicles 15:7
Lumin’s Faithful Translation
The setting
After Judah’s victory, the prophet Azariah met King Asa with this charge. Reform and covenant renewal were underway; the people needed stamina for ordinary, unglamorous work of rebuilding worship and justice, not only for the battlefield.
Reflection
Where have your hands gone limp on kingdom work that still needs finishing, and what would “grow firm” look like in that one place today?
A prayer
God, steady my hands when I want to quit the small work. Help me trust that You see what I finish today.
Carry it with you
Choose one unfinished act of care—a call, a meal, a task you promised—and finish it before you add anything new to your list. Keep your hands moving on that one thing until it is done.
