John writes to Gaius about traveling teachers who refused to take support from outsiders. In the first-century church, hospitality was how the gospel moved from town to town—meals, a bed, and a send-off were kingdom work, not extras.
Reflection
Who around you is carrying truth into hard places, and what would “taking them under your care” look like in one specific action today?
A prayer
God, show me who needs backing, not applause. Make me useful to the truth, not just impressed by it.
Carry it with you
Pick one person doing quiet, faithful work (a volunteer, a caregiver, a coworker under strain) and give them something concrete today: a meal, a ride, or an hour of your time so they are not carrying it alone.
