“And what you heard from me through many witnesses, entrust to faithful men who will be competent also to teach others.”
2 Timothy 2:2
Lumin’s Faithful Translation
The setting
Paul wrote this letter from a Roman prison near the end of his life, urging his young co-worker Timothy to guard and multiply the gospel message. In the early church, teaching passed person-to-person in house gatherings rather than formal schools, so faithful transmitters were essential for the faith to spread and endure amid persecution.
Reflection
Who in your daily world already shows the kind of reliability Paul describes, and what one truth are you holding that they might be ready to carry forward?
A prayer
God, help me stay faithful with what You’ve given me and notice who around me is ready to receive and share it. Give me courage to speak simply and clearly.
Carry it with you
Identify one person in your circle who shows openness to growing in faith and share one practical insight from Scripture with them today—over coffee, a text, or a short walk. Then ask how you can support them in passing it on to someone else this week.
