“Whoever is faithful in very little is faithful also in much, and whoever is unjust in very little is unjust also in much.”
Luke 16:10
Lumin’s Faithful Translation
The setting
Jesus spoke these words right after a story about a household manager who mishandled his master's accounts. In the first-century world, even a servant's smallest ledger entries revealed whether he could be trusted with an entire estate. The saying pressed disciples to see ordinary tasks as the proving ground for larger kingdom responsibility.
Reflection
Which “tiniest matter” in your daily routine have you been treating as disposable, and what would shift if you handled it as a test of loyalty?
A prayer
God, make me reliable in the small things so I am ready for whatever You place in my hands.
Carry it with you
Choose one unnoticed duty—a reply, a cleanup, a follow-through—and finish it with extra care, treating it as training for greater service.
