The setting
Paul wrote Ephesians from prison around 60 AD to a mixed congregation of Jewish and Gentile believers in a bustling Roman port city. He urged them to move beyond spiritual infancy by using their varied gifts to strengthen one another in faith and service.

How might one act of service today help move the community closer to the unity and maturity described in this verse?
